Lindsey Sterling Friday, March 1, at House of Blues You've gotta hand it to her -- very few (if any) musicians come to mind who are mixing classical violin and dubstep. Props for originality.
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Saturday, March 9, at House of Blues, $30 I always get excited about Rock the Bells shows, and this year is no different. Now that we know that Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are headlining, as part of their 20th anniversary tour, I'm curious to find out what other groups will be taking up the hip-hop slack.
Spillover 2013 Sunday, March 17, at Sandbar Cantina, $15.91 We already told you about the first round of acts announced for Spillover 2013, Deep Ellum's one-day event that culls together acts who are still on the road from South by Southwest. New bands just announced: Alex Bleeker & the Freaks, The Coathangers, Ducktails, Parenthetical Girls, Parquet Courts, Today is the Day and Young Widows. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Bass Drum of Death Saturday, April 27, at House of Blues, $20 The last time I saw BRMC was at South by Southwest a few years back, and the fog excreting from the fog machine was so dense that when the lights hit it, you couldn't see the stage. It was like all of Austin was being serenaded with BRMC's gritty folk, as performed by a posse of ghosts.
