You can tell Beabadoobee’s story through Dallas’ lens. The British singer-songwriter is set for her third North Texas stop in three years.
In 2022, a massively TikTok famous but not yet mainstream Beabadoobee performed at the 1,000-person capacity Granada Theater in East Dallas. The show occurred just a few months after the release of Beatopia, which included “a perfect pair” and “Talk,” both prime examples for future retrospectives on indie music in the 2020s.
Just five months later, in April 2023, Beabadoobee performed before 80,000 riotous Taylor Swift fans at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. She was a featured special guest for nights two and three during The Eras Tour along with Gracie Abrams.
In 2025, she’s set to hit the road again after the release of her This Is How Tomorrow Moves, which features “Real Man,” her most streamed original song to date.
She’ll be at the Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving on April 26. The show will include two other female-fronted acts, New York City rock band Pretty Sick and Los Angeles-based Keni Titus, who sounds like a disciple of early Beabadoobee tracks.
Three dates in Dallas in four years is about as prolific as it gets for an international touring artist. Beabadoobe might also have the record for biggest fluctuation in venues in such a short time.
Whether intentional or not, there’s a specifically 2020s internet and social media sound that’s captured perfectly over the singer’s five original albums. It might seem daunting to translate that sort of bedroom pop sound to such big venues, but we’re sure the thousands of adoring fans that attend will be satisfied either way.
Tickets went on sale to the general public this morning.
