In 2025, the selections for jukeboxes are better than ever, especially with the advent of digital machines, making our soundtrack possibilities unlimited. Here is an updated list of the best jukeboxes in Dallas, including our 2024 Best Jukebox in Dallas winner.
Lee Harvey’s
1807 Gould St.Everyone already appreciates Lee Harvey's worn-in, slightly trashy aesthetic, evidenced by the piles of people filling the patio and tiny indoor bar. In the bar’s quieter moments, though, the jukebox provides a welcome soundtrack. Whoever curated Lee Harvey’s jukebox has vast musical tastes. Hair metal, indie, classic rock and '80s tunes dominate the selection, but there are plenty of seemingly out-of-place gems. Amy McCarthy

We'll look past management's claims that the name has nothing to do with Oswald.

The Old Crow
1911 Greenville Ave.The Old Crow has remained one of the quintessential Dallas dives since the late ‘90s. The Lower Greenville bar’s jukebox isn't always turned on, especially when karaoke or a big game is on, but it's a reliable respite between long rounds of pool and darts. Simon Pruitt
The Dallasite
4822 Bryan St.At The Dallasite, no-frills is the standard. You won’t find some aesthetically pleasing vintage-style jukebox with plenty of well-curated tunes from obscure '70s singer-songwriters and soul stars. Still, there's enough Lynyrd Skynyrd here and Tom Petty to make your PBR-and-Fireball-fueled nights of hardcore boozing memorable. You’ll probably sing “Three Steps” drunkenly a time or two, but that builds character. AM
Adair’s Saloon
2624 Commerce St.Because Adair’s has live music every night, many first-timers tend to ignore the jukebox. But regulars of this Deep Ellum institution know that the jukebox here is a real hidden gem. Classic country music dominates the offerings with Texas greats Bob Wills and Willie Nelson. Better still, there’s also a nice selection of the very up-and-comers who grace the Adair’s stage nightly. AM
Lakewood Landing
5818 Live Oak St.. No. 4334Dimly lit dive bars are required (by law, maybe) to have a great jukebox, and Lakewood Landing delivers. You will likely spend far too much time flipping through the selection of CDs, thinking you might want to hear a little Tom Petty, but ultimately deciding that you’ve got to pick something from Big Star or Fleetwood Mac. Good choice. AM

There are few better places to find yourself after a show than Lakewood Landing in East Dallas.

El Rincon Tapatio
127 Jefferson Blvd.Just a short walk from the Texas Theatre, El Rincon Tapatio is a gem on the edge of Jefferson Boulevard. With ultra-cheap prices, a sprawling authentic menu and an inexplicable suit of armor guarding the restrooms, it’s easy to be charmed by the Mexican comfort food respite. That would be enough, but the electronic jukebox by the front door puts it over the top. The music selection here has an unusual number of deep cuts, almost to a fault, perfectly represented by Gnarls Barkley not even having “Crazy” as an option. We opted for “She Knows” from the duo's 2008 album, The Odd Couple, an awesome cut from one of this century’s most extraordinary unrealized pop acts, but that’s a story for another day. SP
Twilite Lounge
2640 Elm St.Unsurprisingly, a bar owned by two musicians would have a well-curated jukebox, but Twilite Lounge’s is downright impressive. The classic country is no surprise, but the diverse selection of old-school soul deserves your dollars. There are also plenty of good Americana/folk tunes to round out your hipster dreamboat playlist. AM
The Goat
7248 Gaston Ave.You don’t go to The Goat for a fancy experience, but you’d probably be surprised that the jukebox here has plenty of musical selections from the mid-to-late 2000s. Still, playing anything from the last 15 years is likely to get your ass kicked. Stick with classic rock and old country, and listen closely to the lyrics. You might find your next hit for The Goat’s legendary karaoke nights. AM
Herby’s Burgers
2109 S Edgefield Ave.Our 2024 Best-Of champ! Opened by the king of local nightlife, DJ Sober, aka Will Rhoten, it was never a doubt that this Oak Cliff smashburger joint would have a heavy music presence. Herby’s walls are adorned with signed photographs from a mix of Texas music superstars, ranging from the founding members of Tripping Daisy to Waxahachie-born Tevin Campbell. The fact that Herby’s took home our illustrious Best Jukebox in Dallas award should make it a shoo-in for the top spot, but the jukebox was out of order on our last two visits, semi-permanently stuck on a display featuring Bjork and Black Sabbath. Fantastic selection, but we wish we could play it. SP
Ships Lounge
1613 Greenville Ave.In our 2015 list, we noted how the regulars at Ships Lounge take ownership of the jukebox and recommended just letting them control the soundtrack during a visit there. Ten years later, when we stopped by Ships to ensure the jukebox was still up and running, we couldn't even get close to it because of a line of old-timers queueing up some country tunes. That's the consistency that earns a spot on this list and the sort of Southern comfort that makes us want to return. SP
