BigXThaPlug’s glow up is never dimming.

After winning Best Glow Up for our annual Best of Dallas issue, he appeared as a special guest on The Jennifer Hudson Show, along with Marlon Wayans and Tyriq Withers, who are promoting their new film Him.

The Dallas rapper had a conversation with Hudson, where he spoke about fatherhood, Lizzo, his new album I Hope You’re Happy and the time Beyoncé used his song “The Largest” during her Cowboy Carter Tour.

If you remember back in April, Beyoncé co-signed the Dallas rapper on the opening night of her tour at SoFi Stadium. The interlude showed a giant version of Beyoncé walking through cities.

@BigXthaPlug just got a Beyoncé co-sign that could change the game for independent artists. He did it all on his own and now Beyoncé is bumping “The Largest” on opening night of her Cowboy Carter Tour.

“Beyoncé’s sorority is the BeyHive. I didn’t have to do not a step, I didn’t have to read no books or nothing,” BigX said. “I just got initiated into the BeyHive.”

He explained how Beyoncé asked him for permission to sync his song for the tour.

“I was like, ‘I didn’t even know what it was for.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, you can use the song. It’s Beyoncé.’ Next thing I know she’s on tour and my phone started blowing up one day. I’m like, ‘What? The hell just happened? Is Beyoncé on stage, listening to my music?'” he said. “The Beyoncé fans? That’s another level.”

In other clips of his sit-down interview, he discussed being a dad and the promise he made to his son after he got out of jail. “My dad and my mom were very involved in my life. I just feel like kids don’t ask to be here. I just feel like with me, introducing you to this life that’s not always good, I’ma make sure you’ll have the best of the best and you never lived how I lived.”

In the last clip, he talks about getting into streaming and having Lizzo as his first guest. He says they made tacos together and shared a story about going to a local Walmart and getting upstaged by Lizzo because everyone wanted a picture with her instead of him.

He also explained the meaning of his label 600 ENT, breaking down the chain Hudson was wearing. “I have five artists now. At the top, you have the Dallas skyline, which is where I’m from, Dallas, Texas. You got the infinity links on the chain because I feel like the 600 ENT wave is going to be forever.”
