Good Records is the place to be Saturday evening. Fort Worth’s The Theater Fire, as featured in this week’s print product, will give an in-store performance of songs from its great soon-to-be-released Matter And Light, but that’s not even the half of it.
The CD release party kicks off at 5 p.m. with a solo set by The Baptist Generals‘ Chris Flemmons. He’ll be followed by the very promising Fort Worth singer/songwriter Clint Niosi, whose new-ish CD will be reviewed in next week’s paper. After his set will be performances by The Angelus and Eyes, Wings And Many Other Things before The Theater Fire goes on at 9 p.m. Better yet, there’ll be free beer and wine to wash down the free vegan “barbecue” from Spiral Diner.
Here’s an appetizer from Matter And Light to hold you over until then. —Jesse Hughey
