Big news out of Calhoun camp this week as the great Tim-Locke-led Fort Worth band has learned that the final song off of its excellent Falter.Waver.Cultivate disc, “The Earth Has Lost Its Hold,” will air at some point during the April 13 episode of NBC’s quite entertaining geek-turned-CIA agent action-comedy Chuck.
Obviously, this is great news for Calhoun. But even better is the news that it comes in a Josh Schwartz-created series; in addition to Chuck, Schwartz is the man behind The O.C., Gossip Girl and, most recently, the web-based Rockville, CA, all of which have been noted for the great care in which the accompanying music gets selected (see: The New Year). So, yes, this is quite the compliment.
And, really, it couldn’t happen to a more deserving band. Set those DVRs…
