Even though we wrote about Frisco in this week’s paper in anticipation of tomorrow’s Oysterfest, it looks like that city’s got some competition on the horizon in its attempt to bring the rock to the suburbs.

The City of Carrollton has just announced their lineup to this year’s inaugural Festival at the Switchyard. And it’s packed with everything from an America’s Got Talent finalist to local favorite The Orbans.

Headlining the affair are some big names: The Old 97’s, The Polyphonic Spree and Robert Earl Keen. There will also be Battle of the Bands. Unfortunately, it looks like Vanilla Ice, another Carrollton native, got left off the bill. Probably because this is billed as a family-friendly event? Probably.

Anyway, tickets are just a mere $5 for daily passes to the two-day event, which will take place on October 22, and 23. See the full lineup after the jump.
