Support the independent voice of Dallas and help keep the future of Dallas Observer free.

Another weekend, another slew of good shows here in the D. I only managed to hit the Melodica Festival (for about 20 exhausting hours of the course of the weekend), which you can read all about in the next Observer. In the meantime, there was a whole bunch of other stuff going on. And, if you missed any of it, YouTube's apparently got you covered (plenty more after the jump...).

Spectrum performed at Sloppyworld as part of the Melodica Festival...

Dylan crooned the House of Blues crowd...

Early Pearl rocked The Max...

Schoolyard Heroes and others rocked The Door...

100 Damned Guns graced the Granada...

Someone posted a nice video of The Slack at The City Tavern (maybe not from this weekend, but nice nonetheless)...

...and, lastly, someone pwned the Mavs in NBA Jam...

That last one's my favorite. --Pete Freedman

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
