For those Dallas music fans who put Death Cab For Cutie’s Codes and Keys in your favorite albums of 2011 file, this bit of news will be interesting. Death Cab For Cutie have announced a performance at McFarlin Auditorium on Friday, May 4. Here’s where it gets interesting: The indie pop anti-heroes will be joined by Magik*Magik Orchestra, an eight-piece classical outfit who will add a new twist to Death Cab’s musical arrangements.
Also joining the bill for its second stop in North Texas, Youth Lagoon will open the show. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. January 27 at AXS.com with prices ranging from $30 to $45, the price of a scholarly second-hand tweed coat (essential wearing for the Death Cab fan).
