The rhythm of the city is getting a legendary remix. On Monday, April 13, the streets of the Dallas area will transform into a rolling dance floor. To celebrate the upcoming release of the highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic, Michael, a mobile DJ truck is hitting the pavement — and they have recruited hip-hop royalty to steer the sonic ship.
Longtime Dallas resident and member of Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Salt-N-Pepa, DJ Spinderella, will be live on the truck, dropping beats and spinning magic.
Spinderella is no stranger to the King of Pop’s sprawling catalog. She has long woven his many beloved tracks into her own sets, blending hits like “Billie Jean” into electric live tributes. Now, she brings that same infectious energy directly to neighborhoods across North Texas, spinning a moving soundtrack to honor one of the most influential artists in history.
Michael, which hits theaters nationwide on April 24, promises a front-row seat to the visionary artist’s complex life and iconic performances. But before the movie screen lights up, Spinderella is making sure the bass drops across Dallas. The Grammy-winning DJ will be behind the decks for three of the truck’s stops, including Snider Plaza, Legacy West and Addison Circle Park.
If you want to moonwalk your way through your lunch break or add some groove to your evening commute, you can track down the mobile truck at one of its five scheduled stops:
- 12:30–1 p.m.: Klyde Warren Park (2012 Woodall Rodgers Fwy.)
- 2–2:30 p.m.: Bishop Arts District (419 N. Bishop Ave.)
- 3:30–4 p.m.: SMU / Snider Plaza (6815 Snider Plz.)
- 5:30–6 p.m.: Legacy West in Plano (5908 Headquarters Dr.)
- 7–7:30 p.m.: Addison Circle Park Area (4970 Addison Cir.)
