Erykah Badu fans looking forward to the Freaq's upcoming follow-up to her 2008 smash New Amerykah Pt. 1: 4th World War would do well to turn their Internet dials to ErykahBadu.com starting in, oh, about 10 minutes or so (or, more specifically, at 3:33 p.m.), as, at that exact moment, Badu will use her site to "leak" a bonus track and a teaser video promoting her New Amerykah Pt. II: Return of the Ankh album.

It's even been verified on Badu's Twitter account. (Some world we live in, huh?)

The album, you surely recall, is slated for a March 30 release. So be sure to check Badu's site for an early look. Chances are, we'll be there too.

Who we kidding? We definitely will be. So... see you there?

Update at 3:29 p.m.: Badu just tweeted again. Now it looks like the leak will come at 3:33 p.m. Pacific time. So, no rush?

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
