Kind of crazy to think that five years have passed since Nathan Gale charged the stage, gunned down four people and killed Pantera guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott during a Columbus, Ohio, performance of Dime's new band, Damageplan.

To commemorate the anniversary, Revolver will release a special memorial tribute to Pantera and Dime, featuring interviews with all of Dime's surviving Pantera bandmates, plus interviews with Dime's longtime girlfriend Rita Haney and musicians like Rob Zombie, Scott Ian, Zakk Wylde and others. The issue will be released on Tuesday, December 22. (Hat tip.)

Ealier today, Rolling Stone and MTV also ran items remembering the legendary Arlington-bred guitarist, may he rest in peace.
