This weekend out in Arlington at Cowboys Stadium, the Louisiana State University Tigers and the University of Oregon Ducks will “geaux” head-to-head in a feats-of-football competition, effectively kicking off the college football season.

If nothing else, the game is giving an advantageous promotions company called Destination Entertainment an excuse to throw a party on Friday afternoon and evening at the intersection of Routh Street and McKinney Avenue. The event, called the Dallas Block Party, no doubt aims to capitalize on the tourist demo.

Thing is, the two-stage affair’s bill is kind of crazy. Not in an especially good way, though. More in a hey-let’s-insult-everyone-in-Uptown-by-playing-to-all-their-old-stereotypes kind of way. It’s an L.A. scenester who’s who, with scheduled performances from Dirt Nasty (the joke-rap persona of former MTV VJ Simon Rex), Beardo (another joke-rapper), Dallasite-turned-Angeleno Ryan Cabrera, Secondhand Serenade and a handful of DJs. Oh, and there’s this too: The 18-and-up event will cost a whopping $40 to attend. Yeesh.

Check out the whole bill after the jump. If you dare.
