For the second night in a row, The Bee's Fifth Collective has put together another free show with a solid lineup. Only tonight's show will be notably more... well... energetic.
Hosted at the collective's own Bee's Manor (306 Texas St., Denton), tonight's bill features Denton's Florene and Austin's Mothfight!--two bands that I've given plenty of love--as well as Red Faced Laughter, a band said to put on a powerful live show.
I still haven't shelved Austin-based Mothfight!'s 7-inch for "Hopscotch" since last fall, when I picked it up after being impressed by the band's eclectic, energetic performance at the old Swiss House. If you missed the band's show at Swiss House or more recently at Dan's Silverleaf during NX35, then tonight will give you the chance to see Mothfight! up close in a very intimate setting.
And, if you haven't caught Florene recently, the duo has added several new songs to their set list.
