The Denton-based pop-punkers in Bowling for Soup stop on by the Granada Theater for a headlining gig on Monday night--which, turns out, is gonna be quite the all-local affair. Joining the purveyors of all things 1985, high school never ending and girls that all the bad guys want are fellow Dallas' own folk-pop duo Smile Smile and punk rockers The Lash Outs. And while the headliners are surely there to promote their latest, Sorry for Partyin', showing up early to catch the openers--both of which will have new records to release in early 2010, seems a no-brainer on this eclectic night of all-local music.
Oh, and thanks to the folks at the Granada Theater, we can make it easy on your wallet to support the local music cause--how about five free pairs of tickets. We've got 'em--and we'll hand one pair out to each of the first five people to email me, starting right now, with the words "Outsmile Soup" in the subject line. Good luck!
Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winners.
