It's been just over a month sinceTapes 'n Tapes
, a hyperactive, hook-driven album that pays homage to '90s-era college rock, as evidenced by the jangly guitar riffs and laid-back vocals on the album's first single, "Freak Out." And thoughOutside
, the band's third full-length, is a more polished, less fuzzed-out album than its predecessors, the band retains a feverish pace for the disc, which finds the band returning to its self-released roots. And, no doubt, that's something the band's Dallas fans will appreciate as the band plays at The Loft on Saturday night as part of their album release tour.
Oh, and, as an added bonus, the band has snagged Oberhofer, the imaginative indie-pop wunderkind, as their opening act. So, yeah, this should be quite the show.
Many thanks, then, to the folks at The Loft, who have given us have five pairs of tickets to hand out to some lucky DC9 readers. Find out how to win your free pair after the jump.
Want a free pair of tickets? OK! Just be among the first five people to e-mail Pete, starting right now, with the words "Tape Deck" in the subject line, and you're in! Good luck!
