Few things say Dallas music quite like Reverend Horton Heat and his demonic blend of rockabilly and punk rock elements. Hell, even when he's a little hokey, as he was on this past year's Laughin' and Cryin' with the Reverend Horton Heat, he's still pretty fun.

So, too, should be his gig this Saturday night at the Granada Theater. And the folks at that Greenville Avenue venue have been kind enough to pass along a few pairs of free tickets to Saturday's show. Want one of 'em? OK: All you've got to do is be among the first five people to shoot me an email with the words "It's A Psychobilly Freakout!" in the subject line and, well, you'll be in like Flynn. Gotta be quick, though--so good luck!

Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winners.

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
