Seems things have been heating up on the east end of Deep Ellum lately, what with Sons of Hermann Hall’s amped-up bookings of late (Hope Sandoval, the four-night run from the Old 97’s, etc.). And that trend only continues as the lodge hosts a fine triple-bill on Friday night featuring three of the areas most brooding rock talents with The Paper Chase, True Widow and The Boom Boom Box.
Not a bad take at all. And it could get even better: If you’re one of the first three people to email me right now with the words “God Bless Your Heart” in the subject line, you and a friend will earn free entry into the affair courtesy of Mike Snider, the man behind the booking.
