For a guy with an allegedly severe drinking and drug problem,

Singer Brent Hind sure is prolific. His biggest project is obviously Atlanta metal outfit Mastodon, but he also juggles a handful of side projects -- two of which will be at

Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios

tonight. As you can see from the above video,

West End Motel

is a heavy-drinking, straightforward Southern Rock outfit, while

Fiend Without A Face

plays surfabilly.

The folks over at Rubber Gloves have been nice enough to pass along a couple of pairs of tickets to tonight's show, and we'll, in turn, pass them along to two lucky DC9 readers. Hit the jump to find out how to win.

Just be the first to email me with the words "My cousin is a woolly mammoth" in the subject line, and you'll win the tickets. Good luck!

Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winners.

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
