If it seems like Minus the Bear‘s been through town a whole bunch of times in the past year or so, that’s because it has been. Things just never let up for this Seattle-based quintet, I guess: Between EPs and full-lengths, the band’s put out 10 releases since its 2001 debut. And, with each release, the band further cements its reputation as innovators for combining ambient and spastic elements into a surprisingly melodic combination.
