OK, so maybe this is kinda old news at this point, but, yes, it’s been confirmed: After weeks and weeks of truly heated speculation, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced at a press conference yesterday that country music icons George Strait and Reba McEntire would be joining forces to perform at the first major event to be held at the new NFL stadium in Arlington.

Hot damn!

Because nothing–I repeat, nothing–says “embrace the future” like two 50-something-year-old country stars. No offense to either Strait or McEntire, of course.

The concert will take place on June 6.
