Jonathan Tyler has been doing more than just putting on swaggering, Pete Freedman-approved Southern rock sets while in Austin for SXSW. Apparently, he’s been making moves, too, as Tyler just tweeted some exciting news for lovers of Texas classic rock past and present.
”
News… We will be touring with ZZ Top in May as direct support,” he wrote about an hour ago.
“We” meaning his Dallas Black Crowes-loving band, Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights, of course.
The Little Trio From Texas will play early-May shows in Georgia, Mississippi and Florida, followed by five South America dates in mid-month May, though no mention is made of the opener yet on ZZ Top or TicketMaster’s web pages.
The timing is perfect for JT&NL, as the release of Pardon Me falls on Tuesday, April 27.
