Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax Coming to Dallas on June 22. Sort Of.

On June 22nd, a concert billed as The Big Four and featuring a quartet of legendary metal acts can be seen in Dallas.

Not at any concert venue, mind you, but at several area movie theaters.

The actual concert featuring Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax will take place in, of all places, Bulgaria, and will be simulcast in theaters around the world.

Quite a few area theaters have started showing various performances at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, but this is the first time I can recall a rock concert being staged this way. One has to wonder just how exciting it will be to bang one's head in front of a movie screen instead of a real, live band. I mean I know that Metallica is a legendary live act, but come on...

Anyhow, after the jump, check the list of area theaters where any local metalhead can get his/her jollies via proxy. The "show" starts at 7:30.
