Back in late June, you may recall, we shared with you an interview with actor Michael Rapaport, who has made his directorial debut with Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest, his ode to the influential hip-hop group and an interesting look into the surprisingly chaotic dynamics that exist within the group today.

Said Rapaport of that inner turmoil in our Q&A with him: “I was totally unaware. I had no clue.”

Lucky him, then, that it existed; it sure adds some new wrinkles into the documentary’s narrative, which you can see for yourself starting this Friday, July 29, at the Angelika Theater locations in both Plano and Dallas, as the doc begins its Dallas run.

But, uh, between us, you’re definitely going to want to be there on the doc’s opening day in the region.

That’s because Rapaport will be in town and on-hand at both the 3:10 p.m. showing in Plano and the 8 o’clock showing in Dallas to greet fans and engage in a Q&A session with the audience after the movie.

Y’know, just in case our already extensive Q&A didn’t do it for ya.
