We haven't really heard from soulful Dallas native Michelle Shocked since she released her live disc, ToHeavenURide--a recording from her performance alongside a gospel choir at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival--in September 2007. Well, we just got an update: She's coming to town on April 24 for a gig at the House of Blues' Cambridge Room. Seeing as how she's all about the religion and power of rock 'n' roll these days (well, according to the bio we just got sent, at least), we're hoping she's coming to town with the choir. That'd make this show all the more worth our while. -- Pete Freedman
