Music Festival Fashion Advice from the Fans at Edgefest

This weekend, 102.1 FM The Edge brought a its annual music festival to FC Dallas stadium in Frisco. The lineup was eclectic — we went straight from ’90s grunge mainstay Bush to French synth-pop band Phoenix. The clothing worn by fans was similarly eclectic — everything from goth to pool party. We talked to a few people who caught our eye about their concert-going attire.

Izzy (right) and Courtney What is your music festival fashion philosophy? Izzy: “You have to be in something you can get sweaty and ripped up.” Courtney: “I think you should look outstanding.” Izzy: “You gotta stand out.” What band are you most excited for: Izzy: The Gaslight Anthem, Deftones Courtney: Bush

Alex How did you pick out your outfit for today? “It’s just what I always wear. I just try to be myself.” What band are you most excited for: Paramore

Tasha What is your music festival fashion philosophy? “The less, the better.” What band are you most excited for: “Bush. They’re my ultimate favorite.”

DJ How long does it take you to do your mohawk in the morning? “About 20 minutes.” What band are you most excited for: A Day to Remember, AWOLNATION and Paramore

Paula: “I wear black, but I’m wearing this bright coat because my mom told me to.” Jenn: “My mom didn’t tell me anything.” What band are you most excited for Paula: Deftones Jenn: Deftones. “I didn’t know half of the bands in the lineup.”
