We know this promo photo might get some of you fetishists fired up, but it’s not what you think. The Dallas trio, who we profiled this week in preview of their excellent new album, Fake Infinity, just laid down a Violitionist Session, featuring two album tracks and an inspired cover of The Kinks’ “There’s a New World Just Opening For Me.” The original is spare and sad, but they manage to make the cover sound sinister and rhythmic and, well, their own.
