So, the first Dallas foray for the Electric Daisy Carnival was kinda crazy on Saturday night–to the tune of 18,000 attendees, actually, according to one on-site police officer I spoke with at Fair Park on Saturday night. In this week’s paper, I’ll get more into my thoughts on the event–and, perhaps more important, my thoughts on Fair Park as a venue for a music festival. Turns out there’s some old spunk left in those facilities. Some truly kickass spunk, actually.
In the meantime, check out this slideshow from the trusty Lek Brothers, who traversed the festival grounds from the gates opening at 6 p.m. until the night came to a close at 2 a.m. Included in the set of shot: Festival highlight performances from Moby, Rusko (see above), Benny Benassi, Kaskade and others.
