Yesterday morning, Erykah Badu and a few friends treated the students of St. Philip’s School, Prestonwood Elementary and Holy Trinity Catholic School to quite the music lesson at the House of Blues: While mixing in live performance with powerpoint slideshow and lecture, Badu and Co. schooled the young ‘uns on the history of blues music, starting with the hymns of slaves and leading up to modern R&B.
