Chicks can too rock — and Saturday night’s offering at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios act as proof, with the Denton venue hosting two vigorous bands featuring ferociously rocking females right up front and center in their lineups. Austin’s Ume, no stranger to these parts, opened up the festivities. Georgia’s Kylesa headlined.
Photographer Ally Jayne Hoffman caught the show on our behalf. Among the words used in her email to describe Kylesa’s performance: “heavy,” “aggressive” and “powerful.”
