I’m one of the last ones still at the office and I just want to get the
hell out of here, so I’m killing two birds with one stone by announcing
a giveaway and awarding the Poster of the Week
That’s not to take anything away from this poster, as the retro style captures the old-school appeal of this show. Recently reunited coulda-beens Fever in the Funkhouse headline this assortment of acts recalling the late ’80s and early ’90s glory days of Deep Ellum. Also on the bill are former Course of Empire guitarist Mike Graff and Slam Bang Theater (spelled the American way, unlike the poster), featuring former Bat Mastersons Byron Lord (vocals/bass) and David DiPietro (drums).
Club Dada has offered two pairs of tickets to DC9 readers. First two to email me with the subject “Slam Bang Theater” wins ’em. —Jesse Hughey
Update: The tickets have been claimed. Congratulations to our winners.
