Mississippi’s Big K.R.I.T. hasn’t always been such a man of mystery. His acclaimed mixtapes have been available for free and he’s vying for valedictorian of the current DIY, next-big-thing hip-hop class. Dallas has seen a rash of his peers in the last few months, and K.R.I.T. himself put on an outstanding set at the Granada in November, opening for Curren$y and Method Man. His next mixtape, 4evaNaDay, has been pushed back to March despite warm reception for its single, “Boobie Miles.” 4eva, the last tape to drop before his first major-label release, Live From the Underground, tops off a wave of buzz he’s been riding since signing with Def Jam in 2010. So there’s only one way to get that new shit up in your brainwaves before the (supposed) March 5 release. Don’t miss this country king in all his glory, finally headlining a room that can handle the bass.
