Sad news comes today from a spokesperson for Poor David’s Pub: Seems that folk/singer-songwriter Scott Shipley has had a heart attack and his show scheduled for tonight has been canceled. The 45-year-old Shipley tours regularly, but hasn’t played our area for some time.
The rep at Poor David’s didn’t have any detailed information other than that Shipley, who hails from Missouri, suffered a heart attack very recently and that tonight’s show was not going to happen. Shipley’s own Myspace page does not mention his condition, nor has he responded to any emails asking for comment.
