Gather the battalion, as K-pop supergroup BTS is coming back to Dallas now that all its members have completed their required military service in South Korea’s army.

The international phenomenon of young men with the greatest heads of hair you’ll ever see took a four-year hiatus, much to the chagrin of their fan base, affectionately known as the BTS ARMY, short for Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth. But they’re back, baby, and headed for AT&T Stadium.

The band intentionally took a four-year hiatus so that all seven members could complete their mandatory military service, which typically lasts 18 months, and is non-conditional even for some of the world’s greatest musical sensations. The final member to serve, Suga, was discharged in June of last year.

The BTS World Tour will have 79 stops, with two shows scheduled for Arlington on Aug. 15 and 16. Ticket sales open on Jan. 24 at 3 p.m., with additional tickets available for pre-sale to ARMY members. Based on the contextual history, tickets are likely to sell out quickly, and aftermarket prices will be sky-high, so set your alarms now.

The seven-member boy band is also scheduled to release a fifth studio album on March 20, right in time for the first date of their tour in April in Goyang, South Korea. The tour will conclude in Manila in March 2027, with additional dates to be announced.

This is the first time BTS will play in North Texas since 2018, following COVID-19-related tour cancellations and reschedules, and one of the only dates in Texas, outside a May show in El Paso. As of now, the band is only coming to 12 cities in the United States, for a total of 28 concerts.

Both Houston and Austin were skipped for the tour — yet another reason Dallas is the best city in the state, but who’s counting?
