The Appleseed Cast — spacious, noisy post-rock mainstays from Lawrence, Kansas — have just announced a house tour of the area, and it includes a stop at Macaroni Island in Denton. Tickets are $20 and must be purchased in advance. Capacity is 65, so hop to it.

This isn’t the first time the band has embarked on a living room tour — their highly unassuming decade-plus career has involved many such destructions of barriers between musician and listener. Still, this is a unique chance to see a band that could easily be playing a room ten times this size.
And Appleseed Cast is well-suited to these environs — their masterpiece two volume release Low Level Owl is highly ambient and recent efforts have been even more so. Tune in.
