It’s that time of year again, when you forget that Christmas was once a celebration of a possible son of an invisible man in the sky and only care about whatever is wrapped up for you under the tree. And, of course, there’s the Christmas songs, too.
There are some really good Christmas tunes out there — “Merry Christmas, Darling” by The Carpenter or “What A Merry Christmas This Could Be” by Willie Nelson both come to mind.
Then you have the artists who really don’t have anything better to put out — like Jessica Simpson. The suddenly round-faced chanteuse is releasing her second Christmas album this year. It just really smells of clinging to her already floundering career.
She could at least learn a lesson from the Killers and just do one song a year. But, being that it’s Jessica Simpson, she would probably get upset thinking that Killers release Christmas songs.
