Whether or not you believe The Hold Steady is the greatest bar band in the world, expect to see a spectacle when the Minneapolis four-piece comes to town—the kind of no-nonsense spectacle that can make you cheer and celebrate life, and not in a flimsy, superficial way.

Backed by two extra members onstage, calls-to-arms from Boys and Girls in America, Stay Positive, and 2010's Heaven is Whenever will keep you on your feet.

Athens, Georgia trio The Whigs support with songs from their three albums, including this year's Into the Dark.
