For those who missed Puscifer at the Majestic Theatre last week, never fear. You'll be able to get the most potent Maynard James Keenan fix possible on Friday, January 20, when his band Tool performs at Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie.

Those who've attended past Tool shows say it's quite a spectacle, though the band hasn't been through Dallas since 2009.

Ticket prices aren't too terribly bad. Diehard fans will find them downright affordable at $59 to $85. They'll go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. over at the Verizon Theatre website. But if that's a little too much for the pocket book, you can always see Toology -- a Tool tribute act -- at House of Blues just a week earlier on January 14. That one only costs $10.

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
