Speaking of fond memories of the Homegrown Festival,we'd now like to point your direction in a very nice clip our friends over at You+Dallas produced during the Homegrown Festival in Main Street Garden Park a few weekends ago. In the clip, which you can watch after the jump, you'll see brief clips of performance footage from the likes of Analog Rebellion, The Burning Hotels, Seryn and Larry Gee.

Unfortunately, you won't see clips of Neon Indian, School of Seven Bells of Astronautalis. And, if I do have a qualm with the video it's that it's too focused on the early-hours goings-on of the event. Although, in fairness, those were pretty cool, too, with their family friendly vibes -- if also significantly less crowded than the later offerings. Still. Nice stuff. Give the clip a watch after the jump.

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
