The McCartney presentation was especially moving — even if former Dallas mayor Ron Kirk’s presence in the seats behind the Beatle was a bit distracting — as Booker T. Washington grad Norah Jones joined Dave Grohl and others, including 35 Conferette performer Mavis Staples, Paul Simon, Steven Tyler and No Doubt to pay tribute.
