A while back, we stumbled upon a news brief that, buried deep within its telling, made mention of the fact that soundscape provocateur Flying Lotus had been confirmed to direct an upcoming music video for Dallas' own Erykah Badu.
Can't say for sure at this point if that much ist still in the works.
But this much already did happen: Earlier this week, Philadelpia neo soul crooner and Badu collaborator Bilal released a new music video for his song "Levels" -- and that video just so happens to be directed by FlyLo and starring the Queen of the Lake herself. Perhaps not surprisingly, the clip features a stunning set of visuals -- enough, even, so that, if this clip is in fact the only music video collaboration between Badu and FlyLo, it will suffice.
Here, however, is hoping it's not. This collection of minds has opened up a freaky wormhole we'd like to see more of in the future. See what we mean and give the music video for "Levels" a watch after the jump.
