Fort Worth’s Green River Ordinance has made fast work of moving on from its split with Capitol Records and putting out new material on its own.

Last week, after the band came ahead more than $20,000 ahead of its stated $15,000 goal for donations from fans so it could release a new EP, the band did just as it promised and put out a new six-song disc called Dancing Shoes. They also released the above video, which is partially comprised of footage shot from the band’s tours this past summer in support of Switchfoot and Goo Goo Dolls, for the new disc’s title track.

And, maybe I’m crazy, but it’s not half bad, this new song. It’s better, certainly, than the so-so stuff that somehow found this band making its way onto VH1’s Top 20 Countdown, no? No?

OK, I’m probably just crazy.
