To most, Street Fighter is a nostalgia-inducing arcade game from the early ’90s. But, to Arlington-based band Man Factory, it’s musical inspiration. Clearly.

Last March, the band released the second installment of their three-part Street Fighter-inspired power pop opera, Street Fight!! Round Two, which is still available on their website as a seven-dollar download. More recently, though, the band released a new music video for that album’s song, “Balrog 24/7.” As one might expect, yes, it’s very much a song about the popular Street Fighter character Balrog. And the video, released earlier this month, has garnered enough attention to be highlighted as a staff pick by the folks who run the video-sharing website Vimeo.

In the video, children in a school play interpret the lead-up to an epic fight between Balrog, the Mike Tyson-esque waiter who moonlights as a professional boxer, and Sagat, the eyepatch-wearing Muay Thai master. As if a Street Fighter-themed music video alone weren’t awesome enough, the children playing the characters in this mock play make it just near perfect. Especially the kid who plays Sagat, who offers up a particularly menacing turn, despite the fact that he looks like he weighs 60 pounds.

See what we mean and give the video a watch after the jump.
