Dallas' The Strange Boys are turning into quite a prolific act. They've released a record every year since 2007, and this year's Live Music, set to be released next week on Rough Trade Records, follows 2010's gritty and well received Be Brave.
But even with the proximity of the two albums on the timeline, the band has made a huge stylistic leap, incorporating piano as the base instrument of almost every song on Live Music. The result is a pop record, much cleaner and much better than anything the band has released yet. See for yourself over at AV Club, where the entire thing is streaming now.
And, to celebrate the band's new found love for piano, the release of the record is accompanied by a video for lead track, "Me And You," in which Strange Boys singer Ryan Sambol hilariously plays every piano he can get his hands on. Hit the jump to see the video.
