Zillow’s CEO knows it, too. In a recent New York Times interview, Jeremy Wacksman describes what he sees as the appeal of his site.
“‘Zillow Surfing’” is pretty pervasive, regardless of if it’s a buyer’s market or a seller’s market,” he said in the Times Q&A. “You spend all this time window shopping and escaping and dreaming. You are getting a little smarter about what you might want, and then something happens and you pull the trigger.”
Count us amongst those who enjoy the window shopping and dreaming. And hey, maybe there’s a glimmer of hope for Dallasites looking to buy their new home? On Tuesday, the Dallas Morning News used data from Zillow to report that “Nearly 38,700 homes were for sale in North Texas last month — the most since 2018. Housing inventory is up 24% year over year and 3.1% over May.”
We have never said this before but here’s a near perfect MCM in Dallas that was designed by Jack Morgan, and this one is so perfect that we couldn’t even wait till #zgwmidcenturywednesdays and WELL you just have to see it for yourself!!

Changes in the Dallas housing market can certainly be seen in the highest-priced homes, with the top 10 most expensive homes in Dallas on Zillow for July looking much different than June’s list of highest-priced Big D listings. Hell, even the kind of homes on the list changed, with an entire apartment building making an appearance in the top 10 this month.
