And here I thought most Friends of Unfair Park were spent from yesterday's festivities. Apparently not: Several have suggested we post the YouPlusDallas recap from the Mavs' downtown parade and post-game festivities at the American Airlines Center -- and who am I to argue, given that Jun Kang and Justin Terveen were among the cinematographers. And, it's ... it's ... it's just lovely. Sniff. Stop looking at me.

I also got an email this afternoon from our old friend Flula Borg, the man who dubbed Dirk Nowitzki the "German Moses" and got it to stick. Wrote Flula: "Hi Robert! A New Video for Best Players of the World! Enjoy it!" The song's a catchy sumbitch called "Pass The Rock (To The German Moses) - A Mavs Tributing." You had me at "cowbell," but, Flula, where's the MP3?

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
