On its Facebook page this morning, the Dallas Police Department has posted an estimable visual history of its squad cars, beginning with the 1928 Model A. My father, a parts man his whole life, could do without the AMC Matador, wishes he had the '56 Fairlane pictured above and is particularly enamored of the '70 Plymouth Fury. But that's because he had a '72 Fury, which he sold in '80 and has regretted ever since.
