Back when we officed downtown — man, those were good times — I looked forward to today: the annual State Fair of Texas kick-off parade, which rolled down Main Street but a few short yards from our Commerce St. HQ front door. Alas, a former publisher rained on our parade and exiled us to Oak Lawn and Maple, where we make do with slow-speed chases and tornadoes — not fair, not fair at all. Because I love a parade.
