For the second time in less than six months, Cowboys backup running back Joseph Randle has gotten in trouble with police. Randle was cited by Wichita, Kansas, officers after they found marijuana in Randle's downtown Wichita hotel room.
The reason police were called to the hotel room is less innocuous. Officers received a call for domestic violence with a weapon from a 22-year-old woman who was in Randle's hotel room. When police arrived, a Wichita police spokesman says, they did not find a weapon, but they saw the weed. Because the room was checked out to Randle, he was cited for it.
Randle was arrested by Frisco police in October after allegedly attempting to shoplift underwear and a bottle of cologne. The aftermath of that arrest was a mixed bag for the running back. He got an underwear endorsement deal, but reportedly had issues with teammates after video of his booking process surfaced. While being booked, he referenced fellow Cowboys Josh Brent and Dez Bryant's legal problems -- Brent pled guilty to intoxication manslaughter in January 2014 and Bryant was picked up by DeSoto Police for misdemeanor family violence after an altercation with his mother.
Randle was given a misdemeanor citation and released.
Erik Burkhardt, Randle's agent, took to Twitter Wednesday morning to defend his client.Joseph Randle was NOT arrested. He was cited with a ticket, and the police officer then left his hotel room.

There was zero "violence" of any kind, domestic or otherwise. He was asking 3 ppl to exit his room, who didn't want to leave. (Cont)

It was loud. Cops were called. Ticket issued. People and officer left. He went to bed.
