Terdema Ussery, president and chief executive officer of the Dallas Mavericks and a former Nike bigwig, has been tapped by Mayor Tom Leppert to become the new chair of the Dallas Housing Authority's board of commissioners. Which is quite the coup -- after all, it was but five years ago that Sports Illustrated referred to Ussery as "Mark Cuban's most vital point man."

Which means that Betty Culbreath is out -- which, of course, we learned on Monday, when Culbreath wrote of her imminent departure from Dallas. (For those who haven't looked at the item since Monday, Culbreath has posted several comments in response.) Yesterday, she continued penning her farewell to Dallas -- again, with the caveat that if you can't stand typos, stop reading as "I HAVE NO LIBALITY INSURANCE TO PAY FOR YOU HEALTH CARE OR FUNERAL." She will be missed. --Robert Wilonsky
